Foals expected

From 1 July until end of August, Sumrin Saint Mary was running out with Varpullan Valseur

Valseur and I share a long history. As a foal, I was there when he was microchipped on the Varpullan hill.

One year before he was born, Arthur Spronken called me to advise on a stallion. I suggested Varpullan Pepijn, which he purchased and put on the hill with three mares.

Varpullan Pepijn's sire Tongelre Gay Snip was born in 1987. Arthur had asked me to purchase him on his behalf, as he just agreed to swap-lease his sire Dyfed Geraint with Vardra Julius. and wanted to make sure he had the line still when Dyfed Geraint was turning home.

Just a bit earlier, Arthur went to visit The Revel, as we advised to purchase or lease Revel Humming Top, but Arthur preferred Dyfed Geraint instead.

Arthur later also purchased Dyfed Playfair from Mr. Morren (Woldberg stud). Playfair won the foal championship at the Royal Welsh in 1984 and won youngstock national championships in the Netherlands in 1985, 1986 and 1987.

Valseur is out of the Criban Ruby line via Criban Rachel and Dyrin Warpu.
